Gist / points covered in lecture / event
The Guest lecture was an intense interactive session where the speaker very successfully made the students participate in the discussion instead of having just a lecture session. The talk was majorly about the speaker talking about her own experience as a student, in a Design school.
- The lecture gave insights on the student life in the college campus of IDC Powai. The students could understand the day routine of a B Des student in college. This could potentially help the student while designing their project.
- The talk also focused upon the Teaching and Learning methods in Design institutes.
- The students could note down significant requirements of the primary user group i.e. the students in terms of different quality of spaces and learning environments.
- The session helped as kick starters to the thought process of the students wherein students participated in an active discussion with the speaker asking questions related to their Design problem.
Overall, the lecture successfully percolated through the students as they got wholesome insights on functioning of a Design School as well as the perspective of the students. This would great enable the students to understand the user group, analyse the data received and use the same to get to an unique and appropriate Design solution in their academic course of their syllabus.
